I like to be clear and concise about what working with me will involve if you plan on paying me to photograph you. If you do, great, read on and get an understanding of what you can expect.
My fees vary depending on what you want to do. Generally speaking, if you want me to shadow you like some sort of paparazzi and bother you for a full day portrait session, it'll be about $800. Half a day will be $600. A two hour session is the minimum time and that's $300. If you want me to photograph a wedding, you're going to need to pay me at least $2500, and make sure I and an assistant get fed at your reception.

Exclusivity
To avoid disruption to the photographic coverage and to allow the Photographer to fulfil their contracted duty; other photography by family/ friends at the time of the photographic assignment is not permitted. Interference by family or guests in the photographic process may compromise the quality of imagery produced.
Booking Fee/Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required as a retainer to book your chosen date. The balance must be paid fourteen calendar days prior to the shoot. Clients are responsible for all location fees and permits. Where these apply, they will be detailed on your invoice.
Cancellation
In the event of the Clients cancelling the session, including but not limited to, non-attendance without warning, the client may forfeit the fees paid, subject to the conditions in the table below:

Rescheduling available to another date within 12 months, subject to photographer’s availability. A maximum of three reschedules are permitted – after this, all fees paid are forfeited. |
The Importance of Punctuality
If the client is late or does not attend the agreed location within thirty minutes of schedule, the session time may be shortened. If the photographer’s schedule allows, every effort will be made to supply full session time. If the client does not attend within thirty minutes of schedule without notice, the full fee will be forfeited, and they will be considered a no-show. Refer the table below:

Limit of Liability:
All parties agree to cheerful cooperation and communication for the best possible result within the definition of the assignment. The Photographer will do their best to fulfil all requests but can make no guarantees all images will be delivered.
If the photographer is too ill or becomes injured and cannot supply the services specified above the Photographer will try to book a replacement photographer. If a replacement photographer cannot be found, then liability is limited to a refund of any payments received.
The Photographer has working methods in place to prevent loss or damage to your images. However, there is the unlikely possibility that images may be lost, stolen, or destroyed for reasons beyond their control. In these circumstances, if images are not delivered, or a limited number of images are delivered, liability is limited to the return of fees paid for the service or part thereof according to the percentage of images supplied.
The Photographer is not responsible if key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during photography sessions or for missed images due to details not revealed to the Photographer. If the assignment produces unforeseen risks outside the details of the assignment to the photographer or their equipment, the photographer reserves the right to protect their equipment and themselves, which may lead to missed images.
Copyright
I agree the Photographer will hold a copyright license to the photographs to enable them to use the image for the purposes of:
- Archival
- Portfolio Use
- Entry into Competitions
Use in competitions or marketing will be discussed with the client prior to production.
The negatives/digital files remain the property of the Photographer and will be kept on file for a minimum period of five years for re-orders.
Model Release
I agree that images captured during the assignment depicting the parties in this contract may be used, upon my request; for promotional purposes by the photographer in competitions, or for use in their portfolio, with my prior consent.
Creative License
Images are edited at the Photographer’s discretion and delivered images may not include all shot. The Photographer reserves the creative rights to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the photographer’s artistic standards.
Any images supplied to the client as digitals are not to be manipulated, filtered, or edited in any way with regards to contrast, colour, crop or conversion to black and white. Should a delivered image be published by the client in such a way that diminishes the Creative License of the photographer, they reserve the right to request that the image be unpublished.
If you want to see an image in a style that differs from delivery, please ask. The photographer is more than happy to supply additional versions of an image to you within reason.
Portfolio Use
Photographer may use approved Photographs for non-commercial, non-publication purposes to promote Photographer’s work to others, including promotional cards and portfolios, online and in print.
Image Delivery:
High Quality Digital Image files will be delivered digitally to the client. Delivery timeframes will vary, based on the number of images. Should the client wish to obtain images on physical media such as a USB Drive, a fee of $25 will apply. Prints are available at an additional cost, through the photographer’s website. If you wish to receive all unedited, raw image files in addition to the selected images, you will pay an additional fee of $500
