Velvet Gravestones, Holly and the Sunshine

Holly wore a beautiful velvet dress, and the day was very, very sunny. What a perfect opportunity to use off camera flash! (… and destroy a shoot through umbrella – the day was pretty windy, the ground was unsteady, and my light stand had no way to hold a heavy bag or hook to prevent it from falling over in the wind).

Still, this shoot was a success, with a very high number of usable photos, and a good vibe throughout – despite the venue – a cemetary in the middle of the Northern sprawl, older than many of the homes in the region.

All images were shot using a Nikon D750, and a combination of the Tamron 24-70USD G2 f/2.8 and the Nikkor 105 f/2 DC lenses. Off camera flash from Godox.
