Time for Print (TFP)

What is Time for Print or TFP?

We collaborate, you model, I capture your fabulousness. No money involved, just a mutual artistic exchange. Let’s create Art! In more detail:

TFP is a popular arrangement among photographers and aspiring models looking to build their portfolios or work on projects that may not otherwise be financially viable. No money changes hands.

TFP, or “time for print,” offers a mutually beneficial collaboration where both the photographer and the model can enhance their skills and showcase their work. For anyone looking to develop a solid portfolio as a model in Adelaide, My TFP shoots provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience, and create stunning visuals. Whether you’re a budding model, make up artist, stylist, cosplayer, hairdresser or someone else in the creative industries, I’d love to collaborate!

All these images, and many more my portraits and art are the result of TFP.

What sort of work are you interested in creating, Steven?

Good question, Steven. If your name is not Steven, then read on: I am inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite school of painters. They created images that were rich with detail. Lush colours, intricate storytelling with a sense of drama and theatre; often inspired by the very Poetry they themselves wrote. They were also a rebellious bunch, and created work that interested them, their muses, and lastly, the academy.

If you have any idea that has artistic merit, I’m happy to work on it with you. I love shooting outdoors, and the colour palettes I use the most are deep, dark greens, and I love to mix this with gold, purple and other bits of colour theory. Go look at my images all over this website, or stalk me on Social Media.

Why do you do this for free?

I work a corporate job that makes me hunger to be creative. I love to share this passion with others and create Art. If I don’t create Art, I’m sad; and it is difficult to create portraits when you’ve got no one to stand in front of your camera. I get the exhilaration of improving my photographic and lighting skills. You get the thrill of not getting murdered by a stranger from the Internet. You also get some pictures delivered to you through the magic of the Internet.

What are the terms of the Model Release I sign?

This is what you agree to when I take photographs of you. You’ll sign a copy of a document on the day of the shoot that does the following:

I get permission to use your images as I see fit – exhibitions, promotional or marketing material or entry into competitions.

I am able to retouch, modify, or manipulate images in an artistic fashion using software or other tools.

You might see your images online, and they’ll go on my blog. If it is an exceptional image, I may even offer it up for sale as a print to the general public. If that’s the case, we’ll come to a separate agreement on how to split proceeds of any sales and what type of pizza to celebrate with, together.

Steven Perdikis Photography retains copyright to any images that are produced. If you wish for your image to be used for publication or your profit, we can negotiate a licensing fee for that image. You’re free to use your image on social media, but if you’re making money from that image or to promote your product, I will expect to be paid; just as you would. I’m reasonable. We can work something out.

This agreement doesn’t (and won’t) stop you from taking your high resolution digital image that I deliver and printing it out and putting it in your house. You could even put it in the house of someone you want to torment daily with your likeness. If you do this, please let me know, it will make me happy.
